Missouri State University’s pattern library is built with Fractal.

Fractal provides Web Strategy and Development the flexibility to build, document and test new design elements before incorporating them into the Missouri State Web Design System.
Missouri State’s Web Design System is based on Brad Frost’s Atomic Design.
Component statuses
Components and their variants have been given statuses reflecting their state of completion. The available statuses are listed below.

| The pattern is in an experimental, active development phase. The pattern should not be implemented into production code. | |
| The pattern's design, code or usage is being re-examined or further tested. The pattern is likely to either have changes or be deprecated in the near future. | |
| The pattern is ready to be implemented into production code. | |
| The pattern is brand new to the library and ready to be implemented. | |
| The existing pattern has undergone review, refinement and re-release and is ready to be implemented. | |
| The pattern has either been replaced by a new pattern or is no longer supported. |
