Adobe Presenter is software that transforms PowerPoint presentations
into Flash presentations that can be placed on your website or a CD. Adobe Presenter
Presenter is ideal for developing online training or marketing presentations
that include a combination of slides, audio and video.
Note: If you plan to develop online training modules, please
consult with Training
and Development before you begin.
Adobe Presenter
Missouri State University has a campus license for Adobe Presenter
software. You must be a authorized user to download this software. The
software may only be used for official University business and instructional
activities.
Missouri State University Adobe Presenter Template
After you install Adobe Presenter, you should use the Missouri State
Adobe Presenter Template. This template is recommended for all official University
business activities.
- Download Missouri State
University Adobe Presenter Template
- Unzip (extract) the files to your computer.
- Copy the Missouri State folder into
the themes folder of your Adobe Presenter installation. The Adobe Presenter
installation is typically found on your hard drive at c:\program
files\Adobe\Presenter 6\
Please make note of the other files that were extracted. You'll need
these files in the sections below.
Creating a Presentation
- Download a Missouri State PowerPoint Template. Open this template in PowerPoint.
- Create your Adobe Presenter presentation. See the
Adobe Presenter User Guide for
assistance. (You need
Adobe Acrobat to view this guide.)
- When finished, select the Adobe Presenter pull-down menu then Publish.
The Publish window appears.
- In the Theme drop-down box, select Missouri State Adobe Presenter
Theme. Select your other settings, such as publishing
folder location, then click the Publish button.
The files will be copied to the folder you specified in your settings.
Publishing the Presentation to Your Web Site
- Copy the default.aspx file from the Web
Template folder (included in the files extracted
above) into the same folder as your presentation on your computer.
- Edit the default.aspx file to personalize it to your unit.
You'll need to personalize the breadcrumb, site title and footer
information. This customized file can be copied to other web
presentation folders as needed.
- Copy the files from your computer to your web site. Keep the files
in a distinct folder in your web site.
- View the final presentation by visiting its web address in a web
browser.
